Hi, all. c: I'm new here!
I'm honestly not sure if this place is still active, although I really hope it is! It's so rare to find other Sphinx fans!

Welcome, Bas-Ket!
It is depending on the time of the year, from what I've noticed. I'll be more active here into the new year with updates, and just to chat. I know the feeling. Many people don't know about this game. It could probably be due to it being overshadowed by other big releases.
How did you find us? What made you interested in Sphinx?
I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I found this place through the Wikipedia article for Sphinx (since it's linked at the bottom!) I've been a fan for about four years now, but had wanted to play it since it's release. (I've always been obsessed with ancient Egypt and it caught my attention immediately because of it, haha) But unfortunately, due to my lack of a PS2 back then I couldn't play it, much to my dismay. :c But hey! At least I can say I've played through the game four times now! (: Definitely in my top favorites and it saddens me like mad to know it might not get a sequel. Not going to give up hope, though, regardless! You know, it's true that nobody seems to know about the game but that always confuses me because I remember seeing it absolutely EVERYWHERE for years! It was one of those really common finds for a while on the Gamestop and Walmart shelves. Shame people didn't give it a chance! But yeah, I understand the busy-ness of the holidays. I'll be sticking around for sure c:

You're welcome! I sometimes forget it's listed on the Wikipedia page. Nicel! A lot of us seem to share the same fondness for Egypt, and it being one of the main reasons we like/cherish the game. The fact that you waited out until you got a PS2 just to play it, makes you a true and dedicated fan! I have completed the game twice so far. I always keep the thought of it getting a sequel in the back of my head. The game is great in every aspect. The lack of character voices is minor depending on how you look at it. I don't remember seeing it at the game stores I went to back then (I probably did, but got it confused with the other mummy games). It shows up every now and then at some stores I visit. That's really great to hear. Merry Christmas! Off topic: Tommy Tallarico is a huge Egypt fan as well. In this video at 2:38 you can see his collection. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some egyptian-based games in his collection (Sphinx, maybe? It would be awesome if he did!)

Hello! =D It's always so very nice to see some fresh faces, thank you for coming. To be honest I never expected this site to be very active in the first place, so I'm surprised and extremely thankful for how much activity it has had considering how obscure the game is and the fact that it came out nearly a decade ago now (scary!). I know how rare it is to find fans of the game and I felt it needed a dedicated place on the web, so it's fulfilled its purpose there which I'm happy about. I'm glad you found us.
And Hacc you're right, my fondness for ancient Egypt is what first drew me to the game too. By the way I didn't even know the site was listed on the Wikipedia page, that's new to me! Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas, now onto 2012!
