Hello forum, today, I've uncovered numerous mysteries that you were most likely unaware of, I did so by entering deep in to the disc files. pastebin.com/RvraLhZHThat link will send you to a pastebin document that I made up from the textual information in FILELIST.004 It shows a cut character named Ishka was to appear in the akarian region as a traitor... the most mind blowing of all is that this file was actually found IN the existing retail disc... this means that possibly, after further examinations, we may uncover all secrets of Akaria, Sakkara and maybe newer regions we've never seen before.

Was a space between every single letter really necessary?
Aside from that... it makes a good mission. Thank you for finding this.

It was already like that upon opening the file. And you're welcome... overall, there are 749 files from the FILELIST index... it took a while for me to get the data... If you wish, I could try and send further information regarding SFX data, etc...

Welcome to the forums, angrypeppermushroo! That's some really interesting text you've found. I think I can connect some of the clues in that text to images and video we've seen before. I'll try to do so later, or when I get more free time. As for Ishka, it's not a cut character. That is the real name of the Abydos boss. And to blow your mind a bit more, Akaria is shortly playable in the final. It's the area where we fight the Abdyos boss! Check out the "Mysteries" section for more goodies. There is more to come... eventually.

Welcome to the forum and thank you so much for sharing that with us. Very, very interesting text, it sheds a whole lotta light on the Akaria region and finally gives us a bit of clarity regarding the storyline. So basically the betrayal plot in Abydos was originally supposed to happen in Akaria. The name Sobek with its relevance in ancient Egyptian mythology as the crocodile god who was believed to protect Egyptians from being attacked by crocodiles in the Nile, would have been more fitting to the Akarian King character than to the old prisoner in the Castle of Uruk who ended up with the name. I always had a feeling that crafty looking fellow running the 'Simon Says'-type game in Abydos was a baddie. It's nice to finally know what his original purpose was and to put a face to the name Ishka which I've wondered about for years.

Would you able to explain how you got inside the file? When I opened it in note I got a bunch of directories. I was hoping it might have been possible to export some of the models. Maybe we would have also been able to rename some of the files to get the game to load the areas that are on the disk but not accessible.

Rah, now I want to hunt for beta content in the game somewhere. Great find. Akkaria's gotta be playable on this disc somewhere.

asphinxfan - I really have no idea anymore... I went to FILELIST.000 and (I think) I used gameextractor.exe to extract 749 files, apparently hex or something like that... I opened it all with notepad++ and here I am...

Thanks, also... i noticed an item named "Ishka's ring" if i'm not mistaken... so the character wasn't cut, but elements of him / her were.... Ishka and surrounding elements were cut. It all happened when Sakkara was removed...most of its elements were removed.

Eso es todo lo que actualmente podemos esperar, algunos emuladores de PC pueden acceder a estas regiones ocultos sin embargo. Lo siento si lo que digo no tiene sentido, traductor Google es a veces inexacta.
